case study
The Challenge
Pilot Butte was dealing with recurring potholes that had previously been repaired but continued to be a concern. At the same time, the town was looking for a more sustainable alternative to its existing weed control methods, which relied on a combination of weed whacking and herbicide.
The Solution
ECO introduced Bandit as a solution for both applications.
For potholes, Bandit was combined with recycled asphalt to create a thick, durable repair material designed to adhere to the existing road surface.
For weed control, problem areas were cleared, covered with pea gravel or buckshot, and then treated with Bandit to create a durable barrier that prevented vegetation from growing through.
The Result
Pilot Butte gained a more resilient pothole repair solution while also creating a long-lasting physical barrier for weed suppression.
