case study
The Challenge
A drive apron leading to a Viterra grain elevator had settled, creating a dip in the ramp. The uneven surface presented a potential safety hazard for workers and clients while also creating concerns for the heavy equipment and machinery using the area.
The Solution
ECO assessed the apron and developed a lifting plan using commercial-grade polyurethane foam. The foam was injected beneath the settled concrete to provide the support required to achieve a controlled lift.
The Result
The ramp was levelled and the hazard was removed, allowing the facility to continue using the access area while avoiding the need for complete replacement.
